When I teach the guitar, I prioritize student identities and goals. While I will help to carve out a learning path with you, you are the one directing that path! I believe that playing the guitar is a way to exhibit agency, to be in your body, and to be yourself. Playing an instrument is also physical, and I am interested in teaching in a way that is adaptive to differing physical ability.

While I do not offer formal music therapy services, I do understand the guitar to be a tool for contending with anxiety, forming identity, and building self-esteem.

Lessons are 45-60 minutes and take place at my home studio, remotely, or in select cases, at your home or a public meeting place. I accept payment on a sliding scale from $30-60.
