I love playing in bands- whether with my band Pocket Flowers, or with numerous other genre spanning Philadelphia groups I’ve gotten to play with. I also love helping others to have this experience. Over my years as a youth worker, I have gotten to coach kids and teens on how to play in bands together; how to make decisions about how to arrange their music, how to be on stage together, and how to listen to each other.
If you are new to playing in an ensemble with others, I am here to help your group with a number of things- namely, how to feel the music you’re making in a shared way. Together, we can explore how I can be of use to your band- this might include arranging and orchestrating songs, booking initial gigs, or even mediating conflict and creative disagreement. This service is something new I am offering in addition to lessons, and if you are interested in it I am eager to talk to you about how it can look!
